Your Use of 1Recruit.ai Is Governed by These Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the 1Recruit platform (“1Recruit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the platform in any way, you (“User”, “you”, or “Corporate User”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

1Recruit provides AI-powered tools to assist with CV screening, CV formatting, and job specification creation. 1Recruit does not guarantee hiring success or the accuracy of AI-generated content.


Scope of Services

1Recruit offers AI-enabled features, including but not limited to:

  • CV screening and analysis

  • CV formatting

  • Job specification drafting or enhancement

The platform is designed for Corporate Users, including employers, HR teams, and recruiters using the platform for hiring-related tasks.

These services are provided on a subscription basis.


User Accounts

Users must:

  • Provide accurate information during registration,

  • Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials, and

  • Notify 1Recruit immediately of any unauthorised use of their account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.


User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload unlawful, discriminatory, defamatory, or misleading content,

  • Use the platform for unsolicited bulk recruiting or spam,

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, resell, or disrupt the platform,

  • Input personal data of third parties without a lawful basis or consent.

Corporate Users are responsible for ensuring their use of 1Recruit complies with applicable labour, employment, and privacy laws.


Data Protection and Privacy (POPIA, GDPR, UK GDPR)

1Recruit processes personal information in compliance with:

  • The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) – South Africa

  • The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – European Union

  • The UK GDPR

Lawful Basis for Processing: We process personal information for the performance of our services, compliance with legal obligations, and with user consent where required.

Cross-Border Transfers: User data may be processed or stored in data centres outside the user’s country. Where data is transferred across borders, we implement appropriate safeguards in line with POPIA, GDPR, and UK GDPR.

Automated Processing: As 1Recruit uses AI, you acknowledge and consent that aspects of your data may be processed using automated tools. Human review is not guaranteed.

Data Subject Rights: Users have the right to:

  • Access personal data,

  • Request correction or deletion,

  • Object to or restrict processing,

  • Request data portability (GDPR/UK GDPR),

  • Lodge a complaint with the relevant authority.


Confidentiality and Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal and confidential information. However, no system is 100% secure. Users are responsible for safeguarding their own login credentials.


Intellectual Property

  • All platform software, branding, and proprietary models remain the exclusive property of 1Recruit.

  • Content uploaded by a User remains the User’s property.

  • AI-generated outputs are licensed to the User for business use, but 1Recruit retains full rights to its underlying systems and processes.


AI Disclaimer and No Guarantee of Outcomes

You acknowledge that:

  • AI may generate inaccurate, incomplete, or imperfect outputs,

  • 1Recruit does not guarantee interview selection, candidate suitability, or hiring results,

  • You should independently review and verify all outputs before relying on them.


Billing Policy

1Recruit operates on a subscription model.

  • Users are billed monthly by direct debit.

  • The subscription continues automatically each month until cancelled.

  • A 1-month notice period is required for cancellation.

  • All payments must be made in accordance with the agreed subscription plan.

  • Refunds are not typically provided once a billing cycle has commenced, except as required by law.

By subscribing, you authorise 1Recruit to collect recurring payments via direct debit for the agreed subscription amount.


Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 1Recruit is not liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated content,

  • Any business, operational, or hiring decision made by a User,

  • Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by the User in the preceding 3 months.


Termination

Users may stop using the platform at any time. 1Recruit may suspend or terminate access if the Terms are breached or unlawful use is suspected. Certain clauses (e.g., confidentiality, IP, limitation of liability) remain in force after termination.


Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by:

  • POPIA and South African law for South African Users,

  • UK GDPR and the laws of England and Wales for UK Users,

  • GDPR and EU law for Users located in the EU.

Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction above.


Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
